Meet Geraldine Ledan – Solo Finalist

Where do you live?
Long Island, NY… A hop, skip, and a jump away from New York City! 🙂

What is the name of your church and pastor?
Bethel United Pentecostal Church – Pastor Doug Davis Jr.

How long have you been singing?
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. Seriously, I have a ton of children’s choir Christmas musicals from the ’90s to prove it! With bows in my hair and big, poofy dresses, nothing could hinder my praise and worship to The Lord haha! Singing has always been a part of who I am. 🙂

What motivated you to enter NATS 2013?
Youth Congress has been an amazing, life changing conference throughout the years. I can remember being 13 years old at my first NAYC in Tennessee thinking, “God, I am so humbled and grateful to be a part of something so powerful! Thousands of young people have gathered here to celebrate You and to get inspiration and fuel for this life’s journey. The world may think we’re crazy and that it’s impossible, but I know that with Your help we can change the world.” I haven’t missed an NAYC since. It’s been my prayer for a long time to be able to be apart of NATS. For NATS is so much more than a talent search! It’s an opportunity to stand before this apostolic generation and allow God to use me for his glory. If I can just reach one young person, touch one heart, impact one life… This experience will have been worth it one hundredfold. That’s what it’s all about!

What is your favorite ice cream?
May I first just say how much I LOVE this question? Ice cream is my favorite dessert! I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That being said, it’s hard to narrow it down to one favorite flavor! I guess I’ll ultimately always lean towards chocolate… And anything peanut butter… And cookies and cream… And butter pecan… All in the same bowl at once haha! 🙂
